select(value=Undefined, /, *, clear=Undefined, encodings=Undefined, extent=Undefined, mark=Undefined, on=Undefined, type=Undefined, zoom=Undefined)View on GitHub

Return a copy with select updated.

Parameters:
  • clear (DomEventType_T | EventConfig | EventConfigKwds | str | bool) – A string or object that defines the events that should clear the selection. Set to false to disable these events. Legend-bound point selections also reset on unmodified background clicks, independently of this property. __Default value:__ "dblclick"; no clear event for legend-bound point selections.

  • encodings (Sequence[PrimaryPositionalChannel_T]) – Schema-defined encodings property.

  • extent (SelectionExtent_T) – Visual extent of the interval selection rectangle. "auto" draws one spanning rectangle when the selected channel can span a concat safely. "view" draws one rectangle per participating view. "container" requires one spanning rectangle. __Default value:__ "auto"

  • mark (BrushConfig | dict[str, Any]) – Interval selections display a rectangle mark to show the selected range. Use the mark property to adjust the appearance of this rectangle.

  • on (DomEventType_T | EventConfig | EventConfigKwds | str) – A string or object that defines the events to which the selection should listen. __Default value:__ - point selections: "click" - interval selections: - "mousedown[event.shiftKey]" when any brushed channel is zoomable - "mousedown" otherwise

  • type (Literal['interval']) – The selection type. - "point" – to select multiple discrete data values; the first value is selected on click and additional values toggled on shift-click. - "interval" – to select a continuous range of data values on drag.

  • zoom (DomEventType_T | EventConfig | EventConfigKwds | str | bool) – Controls whether an active interval selection can be resized by mouse wheel. The wheel interaction only applies when the cursor is over the interval. Can be: - true / false - event type string such as "wheel" or "wheel[event.altKey]" - an EventConfig object Currently, only "wheel" events are supported. __Default value:__ - false when any brushed channel uses a zoomable scale - true otherwise

value(value=Undefined, /, *, x=Undefined, y=Undefined)View on GitHub

Return a copy with a SelectionInitIntervalMapping value.

Parameters:
  • x (Sequence[float]) – Schema-defined x property.

  • y (Sequence[float]) – Schema-defined y property.
